Flowering Teas
Hand picked and hand sewn in China, these flowering teas blossom into gorgeous, intricate patterns while you watch. Unique conversation pieces, elegant centerpieces for any party. Since each tea flower is hand made my an artisan, each bloom is slightly different.
Mystic Temple Blossoming Tea is made from white tea leaves and exquisite natural flowers, hand tied to form an enchanting rosette. When steeped in hot water, the tea leaves unfurl to reveal a stunning flower which blossoms into a spectacular display. The tea is full flavoured with a delightful aroma. Each pod will yield two infusions in a 4-6 cup pot.
White tea is produced mainly in the Fujian province of China. this tea is taken from leaf buds that are plucked before they open in early spring. Only special leaves are selected. The young leaves are withered and dried slowly at low temperatures. Unlike other teas, white tea is only slightly oxidized.
White tea has many healing properties. It has three times the antioxidant polyphenols as green or black tea and one-half to one-third the caffeine.
