About Aromatica

"Why tea and soap?" It is a question we have been asked more than once. A few folks have even stopped in for "tea and soup" because they misread the sign. The correct answer is that they combine two of our passions. The short answer, however, according to Karen is, "Because we can." Which, to be honest, is the reason we do most things.

This is not a job for us. We are having a blast sourcing the best teas and finest natural skin care products from around the world to share with our discerning clientele. We don't just sell them, we actually use every product in our catalog. Our friends and hundreds of people in our community do, too. That is a marriage of responsibility and accountability we take seriously, and it is your best assurance of quality.

We are also energized by the success stories. Teenaged boys with troubling acne who began using our Tea Tree & Neem soap and now have clear complexions. The woman who had never been able to enjoy tea because it upset her stomach, until she began drinking our seventeen year old Pu-erh. The friend whose tatoo was brought back to life by our natural body lotion. The mechanics, construction workers, and landscapers who use our salt scrubs to reclaim the skin on their work-weary hands and work boot feet. The amazed results our clients see from our natural skin polish and body lotion. The number of people who have told us they took their tea supply to work and it was gone the first day because the rest of the office drank it. Now, as a merchant, that will get you up in the morning.

A few days ago a professional swimming coach was in the store. We were riffing through the teas, sniffing and sampling. At one point she got a big grin and said, "You guys really have fun doing this, don't you."
